A herd of black wildebeest grazes and rests under the open sky. Often called the clowns of the plains for their comical appearance and sudden, spirited bursts of running and jumping, they bring a strange joy to the landscape. Smaller and less common than their blue cousins, black wildebeest are unique in both appearance and personality—a reminder that even the wild has its mischief-makers.
